Almudena Larrañaga Ysasi-Ysasmendi Barrister since 1999. Since the outset, she has guided her career towards the area of legal counsel to businesses, merchant and international laws, with solid litigious experience and a clear international career orientation. She has assisted and worked in a engineering company and in some national and international law firms.
In 1999 she becomes part of the Legal Services of REPSOL BUTANO, S. A. assuming legal business and judicial assignments for REPSOL BUTANO, S.A. before civil, criminal and litigious courts. From 2003, she takes on the leadership of the main legal proceedings and is appointed as the Deputy Secretary to the Board of Directors of the subsidiary Via Red Servicios Logísticos S.A.
From 2004 she assumes in LPG business of REPSOL BUTANO, S.A. the responsibility for the legal assistance of the investment process overseas, and in connection with the relationships with other international oil companies. Furthermore, she undertakes the legal assistance of the Company, before the Spanish competition authorities and community.
In 2006, she is appointed Head of Legal services of Upstream, of the REPSOL YPF, S.A Group, in Europe and North Africa, actively participating in the legal assistance of important businesses of the Group in that area. Besides her role as Head of Legal Services, she is assigned various matters of high significance to the Group, predominantly, in the United States of America.
In 2007 she is appointed Upstream and LNG Head of Legal Services for Europe and North Africa. As advisor to the Group’s global businesses she assumed high responsibilities and enhanced her international reputation and practice.
On 1st May 2008 jointly with Luis García del Río creates the legal firm GARCÍA DEL RÍO & LARRAÑAGA.
